On your own PDF the app finds the signature and date lines for you. You decide who signs and in what order.
Why it matters
Each person is asked to sign only on the lines the app found for them, and each person is emailed only after the one before them has signed.
Steps
- Open Documents, then Start a document, and find the section Use your own PDF. Choose "What this document is", give it a title, then choose a PDF.
- Under "Who signs, by default", there is one row for each person the app found. Choose Signs or Gets a copy for each one.
- Under "Who signs first?", choose "You sign first, then the others" or "They sign first, you countersign".
- On "Check the pages before you save", look at the signature and date lines the app found. Blue is your company and green is the other side. Yellow boxes are filled in by whoever sends the document.
- Choose Save for the company.
- When you send it, it costs 12 credits. Whoever sends the document can change who signs on each send. The order is fixed for the document.
Good to know
- You can't add, move or remove a signature spot in the app. Where each person signs comes from your PDF. If a spot is wrong or missing, fix the PDF and upload it again, or use Replace PDF on a saved document.
- You can't add, rename or remove a person on this step. People come from the signature lines the app found.
- If you set someone to Gets a copy, their lines stay on your pages either way.
- Each person is emailed only after the one before them has signed.
