Send an Offer to Purchase

Send an Offer to Purchase to a seller from the calculator.

The Offer to Purchase goes to a seller for signature. You send it from the calculator.

Why it matters

The seller signs the wording on the page, and you can see who has signed at every moment.

Steps

  1. In the calculator, choose Offer to Purchase.
  2. On the first step, "Who is this going to?", enter the seller's name and email. Company and Title are optional. Tick "They sign it." if the seller signs, and add an Addendum if you need one. Choose Continue.
  3. Fill in the price, the closing date and the other boxes. The closing date is plain text. Open until is a date picker.
  4. Set Open until. Send stays off, with the note "Choose when the offer closes to send.", until you do. After that date the offer closes itself and the signing link stops working.
  5. Choose Send for signature. It costs 12 credits.
  6. Open Sent for signature to follow progress. Signature status is checked on a schedule, so it can lag a signature by a few minutes.
  7. When it says Signed by everyone, choose Download signed.

Good to know

  • To change the wording, use Replace PDF on the template row to swap in new paper and keep the setup.
  • Documents written in the old editor can no longer be edited or approved. Download one as a PDF and upload it as your own PDF to keep sending it. See "Old-style documents are retiring".
